How the business started:

With Nigel D Lenegan, his professional journey led him to found Energy & Carbon Reduction Solutions Ltd in 2009 starting from his loft in Mossley.

What are we working on now:

• CHESS is a new service dedicated to helping those in the care home and hospice sectors save money on energy bills, allowing them to invest that money into their patients.
• We have been in corporate partnership with Willow Wood (since 2020) & continue to sponsor and work with them to reduce their energy costs.
• We recently partnered to help them with the Enterprise Challenge they are holding across Tameside & Glossop Schools. Mentoring students with the aim to nurture creativity and entrepreneurial skills while raising essential funds.
• We are looking at sponsoring a one-off podcast with Willow Wood to share their story of the Hospice and to discuss the partnership we have with them – with a view of this being an on-going podcast.
• Tameside Means Business – BEE Net Zero networking events including the Net Zero Festival.
• Nigel D Lenegan – Tameside NHS Trust Governor since 2024.

• Engage with relevant stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives and influence positive change in the industry – including our local communities and working with Tameside Means Business and others, attending network events.
